Shortly after leaving the port the vessel lost power and grounded at the breakwater. Due to the heavy swell the vessel broke in two pieces, making it impossible to refloat the vessel. Under a wreckremoval contract three cranes were installed on the breakwater which discharged the remaining cargo and assisted in scrapping down the vessel. Both wreck sections were pulled ashore using 300 tons chain pullers. |

Vessel hit an uncharted reef off the southern coast of China. The vessel sustained a crack of 100 meters in its hull. For safety reasons the underwriters required a tug to accompany the vessel on its voyage to dry dock. Two tugs were immediately dispatched to the vessel to act as escort. Upon arrival in Singapore pollution prevention services were provided until the vessel entered in dry dock. |

Salvage of tug

Tug capsized and sank after hitting a submerged object on the river. The tug was cleaned and righted by the salvage crew. The damage to the hull of the tug was then patched up, after which it could be refloated. The tug was redelivered to its owners on a slipway. |

Inland push barge (3000 ton dwt) sank with a full cargo of steel plates (340 pieces / 2,800 tons) whilst waiting for the locks. The entire cargo was salvaged and redelivered back to the rightful owners. The barge was then removed in two pieces and delivered ashore. |
