We look at things differently

Since our work originally involves working with heavy lift equipment, we view situations from the top-down, rather than from the bottom-up. This is how we have built our vast store of experience. This is how we have mastered our trade and this is how we are pushing back frontiers. The salvaging of the Russian Kursk was successful because we applied this top-down approach to our work, utilising our own innovative techniques – from our product and development division.

In a perfectly orchestrated operation, 26 computer-guided hoisting platforms were operated by remote control. Mounted on a modified pontoon, each platform was equipped with a giant winch for the hoisting cables, a 900-tonne lifting jack and a heave compensation system to cushion the rough sea swells. This approach to salvage at sea had never been seen before.
